Sinestesia, o, synæsthesia, es la combinación de las palabras griegas σύν_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b- 136bad5cf58d_[syn] y αἴσθησις[aisthēsis], que significan respectivamente junto y sensación.

It is a neurological phenomenon, it is the joint assimilation or interference of several types of sensations from different senses in the same perceptive act , which takes place by the_cc781905-5cde -3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_estimulación de un circuito sensorial o cognitivo producido por una experiencia automática involuntaria . The people who experience it are  known as synesthetic. One of the most famous synesthetics was Kandinsky.  He had experiences that combined synesthetic and color music.

Así la exposición  parte de la  definición anteriormente mencionada, y nace a raíz del álbum Cosmogramma del músico y  productor experimental

American Flying Lotus.

Despite  not consider myself a synesthetic person, I must say that music is the most emotional art form al_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-138d_exert5 a great influence on me it affects feelings, mood and even thinking.

With this I do not mean that other artistic disciplines do not exert this influence as well, I simply consider that there are differences between them, mainly in the intensity of that influence.

Planning this exhibition, numerous artists came to mind while I was trying to find a common thread that articulated the works as a whole.

I wanted something that was both playful and meaningful.

For me, an exhibition is always a political gesture and, therefore, I prefer to take an active part in the development of events_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d that the works are not mere ornamental elements, but that they raise questions, provoke and generate ideas as well as interesting debates about it.

Samppa Törmälehto e Ilari Hautamäki fueron los primeros artistas en los que pensé. A pesar de tener estilos muy distintos , both have humorous influences and pop culture that they use when questioning established conventions.

Visité sus estudios y me gustó lo que vi a pesar de tener la sensación of not having the exposure fully defined. I was not able to see it as a whole at that time. Although, I am interested in how diverse works can communicate between sí creating their own unique atmosphere.

En este punto, comencé a escuchar  el album Cosmogramma _cc781905-5cde -3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_sitting in my studio while trying to see where the concept of the exhibition was lacking. It had been a while since I heard it.

It is an album from the year 2010 that I consider  a classic of the music of our time and generation. Es somewhat psychedelic, it starts quite abrupt and intense and only occasionally calms down to really serene.

As regards the exhibition, Cosmogramma was key to configuring it and viewing it definitively.

This album recreates in my mind a universe that includes both the scenes and erratic figures of Törmälehto as well as the cosmic landscapes and geometric games of Hautamäki. In this particular universe encontramos_cc7 5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_also more stuff: the hallucinogenic paintings of_cc781905-5cde-3194-Ti5cde8batinedb813db3db.

Vaittinen emerged from here as an obvious link between Törmälehto and Hautamäki: his paintings are figurative situations that reflect Törmälehto's style, the world created by Vaittinen being more surreal and psychedelic.  He uses bright colors and includes abstract and geometric elements in his work which are related and combined in turn with those used _cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5hacutamäkid5.

In this way, I was able to relate three artists so disparate that, in turn, they complement each other perfectly.

I managed to visualize the exhibition as a whole, where each one of its partes communicate both with each other and with the public, with the incentive of having music that perfectly accompanies it.
