We live in troubled times and profound changes in the social mentality and also in art. Ideas and values that we thought were eternal and immutable seem to have fallen. Everything is questioned in a social, political and economic structure  exponentially; increasingly fast and changing, where the parameters of certainty and security mutate at the dizzying pace of communications and the transmission of ideas. A new, more plural and diverse virtual reality begins to form a substantial part of our daily lives, transforming appearance and social structure,  where neither the past nor the future seems to exist... only the here and now , of the moment lived day by day by a society that is increasingly opaque, diffuse, ambiguous and chaotic.

But these moments of general tension precipitate certain springs in our nervous and emotional system. They activate resistance and moving and creative thinking. They cause change and produce movement at the individual level and by default slowly push and seep into the collective consciousness as well.

The structures are also changing in art. That is why, through the plurality of new communication channels, different modes of production, or rather of creative thinking, emerge. Also different ways of communicating in divergent spaces, creating new alternative and open discourses that coexist with the usual systems of diffusion within the market and structure of art. This also determines the form, method and meaning of art in our time. It redefines its sphere of action and influence in other spaces or communities that were previously alien to it or that did not even exist until recently. Different, mixed and interrelated contexts with other languages and modes of communication.

Este evento propuesto por el artista Imanol Marrodán para la Galería Blanca Soto, trata, de manera modesta y muy limitada,_cc781905-5cde-3194- bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ to reflect as far as possible those nuances and changes in the creative thinking of artists who live this reality and this change, which so much determines their way of working and thinking Here and Now.
