MAURIZIO GALIMBERTI
Maurizio Galimberti (Meda, 1956) is a prestigious Italian photographer who has developed his work both in the field of advertising and artistic photography. He has collaborated with numerous international publications and has been the photographer in charge of covering, among others, the Venice Film Festival and the Sanremo Festival, for Polaroid Italia.
On this occasion, and for the first time in Spain, Mauricio Galimberti presents a series of works based on the city of Madrid, a city that is transformed under the fragmenting and dynamic eye of the Italian photographer. Along with these recently made pieces, his already characteristic portraits of illustrious people are also exhibited, as well as some other previous work.
His works are the result of a multiple look at the photographed object or character, each snapshot is a point of view and fragment of what is represented, heads and tails of the same coin. These photographic compositions allow Galimberti a strange, distant, abstract look and at the same time close to reality, vibrant and multiple images that are, at the same time, one, none and one hundred thousand.
