Marbella, July 27. Starlite has inaugurated tonight the CuestionARTE exhibition, an initiative promoted by Oxfam Intermón and Blanca Soto Arte, Curator of the Exhibition, which aims to recover social and political support Development Cooperation and Official Development Aid. The exhibition, which will remain in the Starlite exhibition space until next Sunday, August 3, includes all the works made by a group of seven of the best contemporary artists on the Spanish scene who have participated in the "More and Better Help" project by this NGO, knowing first-hand the work that the cooperation supports and promotes. Several of them, such as Manuel Barbero, Ruth Quirce, Chus García Fraile and Avelino Sala, as well as the exhibition curator, Blanca Soto, have been present tonight, also acting as exceptional guides to tour the exhibition.
“More and Better Help”, which is committed to the language of art as a means of agitating and mobilizing citizens, already occupies one of the most special places in the Starlite venue in the Marbella quarry , from where it shows the artistic pieces with which Manuel Barbero, PSJM, Chus García Fraile, Ruth Quirce, Paula Anta, Avelino Sala and JE Marchesi have wanted to reflect their experience of several weeks in development programs in Africa, Latin America and Asia. With their works, which will be on display until August 3, they not only show the different concerns they experienced during their visits to different projects, but also claim art as a motor of change, recalling that Development Cooperation has a human face that we can not forget.
The 900-square-meter natural space that Starlite has set up so that plastic arts have an exceptional place in the festival's daily program, hosts a new exhibition every week for another year, turning the Marbella quarry into a cultural epicenter for another year . The next samples that will pass through the Starlite gallery will be the exhibition "Lights, Colors and Bronzes", which will open on August 4, and "Interior Labyrinth", with which the artist Elisabeth Ollé Curiel will open on August 11 the Starlite's last exhibition. The Gray Goose® Le Privée space, which since July 24 has hosted the exhibition “Nicole Witte in Havana. A photographic exhibition by Hubertus von Hohenlohe”, also joins Starlite's commitment to the best contemporary Spanish art for the second consecutive year.
