"UNKNOWN TERRITORY"

Joaquin Lara

01 junio - 09 septiembre 2016

Calle Almadén 13, Madrid

It is in one of his great projects "I Love Diogenes", where for the first time, Joaquín Lara begins to use recycled materials to combine a new methodology with a different meaning from his previous work, arguing that any material capable of being used as a medium plastic is integrated into the work. The material of his works seems obsolete, but it is recycled to come to life in the artistic process.

"Unknown Territory" is the evolution of this project, living art in constant evolution and synergy.

The artist approaches the painting in a whisper, his method is to rehearse and explore like someone cautiously penetrating unfamiliar territory.

Lara tells us about an open work, the prism from which one looks at it changes the meaning, the meaning is not explicit, but a free interpretation, a process of co-creation between producer and receiver, which what Poper calls “total response”, intellectual and physical at the same time. Painting, photography and sculpture to the rescue of a "moment" in the flow of the landscape. The record of an environment in constant transformation that struggles to recover another balance.

The provisional, the arbitrary, the casual as a reference”.

What surrounds the work is the contingent, the fragmentary, the ephemeral, the "confused mass", the chaos.

In conclusion: The artist approaches the painting in a whisper, his method is to rehearse and explore like someone cautiously penetrating unknown territory.
