Jonathan Notario, born in León in 1981, graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Salamanca in 2004.

 

He has received several awards and mentions such as the VEGAP scholarship, PROPUESTAS 2013, the INJUVE 2010 Award, THE PLASTIC ARTS AWARD OF THE COMPLUTENSE UNIVERSITY 2010, the first Carriegos award for visual arts 2010. The prize for the acquisition of works in the youth contest artists from Castilla y León, and the young art comic award organized by the Castilla y León government (2007).

 

He currently works with several galleries such as "Blanca Soto" (Madrid) Mad is Mad (Madrid). His work has been exhibited in various artist shows such as TENTACIONES 09: Curated by Javier Duero, within the ESTAMPA contemporary art fair, or the traveling exhibition of Injuve throughout Spain and Latin America. Curated by Jesus Carrillo with the sponsorship of the AECID.

 

He has also carried out editorial projects such as his book, "Retratos de interior", financed with the help of VEGAP, with a prologue by Jesus Carrillo, presented at MUSAC and at the Reina Sofía Museum Central in 2014.

 

In the last year he is beginning to carry out a didactic work giving plastic creation workshops in various public and private institutions such as the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (Madrid) or the Cerezales Foundation. ( Lion )
